From goldsmith to automotive supplier
The Italian ignition specialist EFFE was founded in 1900 by Signore Vittorio Fodone, initially as a goldsmith's workshop. As a result, the company acquired extensive expertise in the handling and processing of precious metals such as platinum. Based on this expertise, the goldsmiths soon began to produce platinum tips for electrical contacts. From 1960 onwards, the Turin-based company began to produce platinum contacts exclusively for industrial applications. 20 years later, capacitors for mopeds were also added to EFFE's product portfolio. A short time later, the Turin-based company also added ignition components to its product portfolio.
