A piece of moped history: Speedometers from Transval
If you are one of those style-conscious moped enthusiasts who always have an eye for detail, then the speedometer is more than just a functional speedometer for you. After all, the moped speedometer not only characterises the look of your pearl because it is installed in a prominent position in the cockpit, but also because the dancing speedometer needle catches your eye every time you go for a ride. To accentuate the nostalgic vintage look of your moped or to preserve the original condition of your moped, you will find speedometer drives, speedometer cables and complete speedometers from the traditional French brand Transval in our range. The coveted speedometers from Brittany are still famous to this day for their precision and durability. That's why Transval speedometer components are naturally a must in our range.
Reliable speedometer drives and distinctive speedometers
Charming retro design and precise measurement technology - that's what the speedometers from the traditional French brand Transval stand for. So if you want to keep your Peugeot or Puch moped in the authentic original look or accentuate the look of your vintage moped in style, the speedometers and speedometer systems from the French brand are an absolute must. With simplicity and the typography characteristic of the 1960s and 1970s, the labelling of the speed display is impressive at first glance. But speedometers from Transval don't just wrap moped enthusiasts around their fingers with their charming appearance, the speedometers from Brittany also impress with their durability, precision and authentic mechanics. Each Transval speedometer is a masterpiece of technology in its own right, reliably displaying your speed. No wonder that original Transval speedometers are still in great demand today. As the brand, whose speedometers were fitted to Puch and Peugeot mopeds at the factory for many years, has discontinued sales, the speedometer drives and speed indicators are now real rarities.
Brand history
The history of the traditional Transval brand is closely linked to the golden age of moped culture, which began in the mid-1980s. In the heyday of mopeds, when more than 100,000 Peugeot 103 mopeds were being put on the road every year in France alone, the production of Transval brand speedometers was also booming. In addition to Peugeot in France, Puch in Austria was also one of the buyers of the precise and robust speedometers from Brittany. Thanks to their precision and, above all, their robustness, the French-made speedometers earned a good reputation that has endured to this day. The French did not have to reinvent the wheel to achieve their success. Instead, they consistently focussed on proven technology, distinctive quality management and a no-frills design. Unfortunately, the temporary decline of moped production also meant the end of the traditional brand. As sales have officially ceased, we are particularly proud and happy to offer you NOS speedometers and speedometer drives from the manufacturer in our shop.
