Special gear wheel for the transmission of mopeds, mopeds and small motorcycles with Sachs 503 and 50/2 (502) engines.
The gear wheel is designed and recalculated for first gear. Due to the reduced number of teeth of 24 teeth (instead of 25 / 27 teeth), the first gear is 4% or 11% longer. The mating gear can remain in place.
The «short first gear» that occurs with optimized timing is thus stretched and the torque gap between 1st and 2nd gear is closed. This is particularly suitable for use in racing or with increased operating weight.
For perfect gear ratios, both gears (first and second gear with 24 teeth) can be replaced. This leads to a better and increased shift speed in second gear and ideally it can be shifted directly into resonance speed.
Note: If you install new transmission parts, you should check the transmission after approx.
If you install new transmission parts, you should change the oil after approx. 100 km to remove any new, slight abrasion from the gearbox.
