The bypass is a central component for the tuning of your SI carburetor and primarily influences the lower to medium speed range. In the case of SI secondary throttles with a double designation, it is not only responsible for pure fuel metering: due to the design, the gasoline is already premixed with air in the throttle body, which supports mixture preparation in the partial load range. The marking 48/160 stands for the ratio of the two numbers - the smaller the calculated value, the richer your scooter will run at moderate speeds, the larger the value, the leaner. Especially for longer trips in the half-throttle range, it is worth tuning up here.
